Urban boy Saturday, Mar 8 2008

I had so much fun with little boy.  He wasn’t into having his picture made in the beginning but after a while he was all into it.  He loved the sucker too.  I fell in love with his little urban outfit and as soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to capture.  I will be photographing him this summer when he turns two and again in the fall and I can’t wait.  He loves to dance and when he heard music he would start to dance.  He and his mom were such a joy to be around .  This is such a great age.  Here are a few favorites and of course I hope ya’ll enjoy.

Words fo Wisdom:  You are “tumb body.” You are a child of God (mama’s rules for livin)

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.

LORD, I pray that the children will have merry hearts and grow up knowing they are loved by you.  LORD touch the children and keep them safe.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

And he thinks I am crazy!  Look at how he is looking at me.

Sweet girl Sunday, Jan 20 2008

It was such a pleasure to photograph this little one year old.   She was so sweet during the whole session.  Let me tell you, the clothes you choose for a session really affect how your photos turn out.  Her parents did such a great job picking out her outfit for the session.  The colors were great and complimented her eyes so well.  She does have amazing blue eyes.  I had a great time with her parents too.  I photographed her cousins a while back and was excited to photograph her at the age of one.  I have been forgetting to get my photograph taken with my kids, but I am going to start that because I wanted that to be something that I always do.  I have two other sessions that I didn’t get my photo taken with but from this pointe on I will. Well, here are a few favorites.  I am working very hard to post fewer and it is very hard to do this.  I sure wanted to post more.  Hope ya’ll enjoy!

Words of Wisdom:  The most beautiful action in the world is to love.  The second most beautiful is to give. (God’s little devotional book for parents).

The light in the eyes of him whose heart is joyfull rejoices the hearts of others.

LORD, help us to always bless others and to raise our kids to enjoy blessing others.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Eva Kate Saturday, Dec 15 2007

Please  continue  to  pray  for Marty.   She  is going  to  get  a  one  day  pass  this  weekend.   I  know  she  is ready  for a  day  away  from  the hospital.    God  is continuing  to heal  her  body.    We  need  to  continue  to  pray  for full recovery.

Well,  I  have so many  things to focus on this month  and the month  is almost gone. I  still have shopping to  do,  I  have things  to  work  on  as  for as my  business  goes,  and I  still  have  my  kids pictures  to  work on as  well  as  my  nephew’s.  There  just isn’t  enough  time for  everything.  Both  of  my kids have  been  sick again.  I  am  getting  tired of going to  the  doctor.   This  time my little girl  had  bronchitis and is  on  an inhaler,  and now  my  son  has started  coughing,  so  keep them  in  your prayers. We  got so  scared  today when  a  pipeline blew  and shook  our house and  just about  everyone’s  here in this  town.   My  little  one kept saying  “it  scared me  death  too”    It  sounded so  cute, but  is  was  scary.    The  explosion  wasn’t  far  and you  could  see  the flames  and the windows  literally  shoot on  the  house.   I  hope we  never experience that again.

Well  here are a  few  I  was  able to  get of Eva  Kate  the  day  she didn’t feel  well. Turns out she  has acid reflux.  I  wouldn’t have wanted my  photo taken either.    She  is beautiful  and  has  beautiful  parents inside and out.    Welcome  her  to  the world.

Words of Wisdom:    A  baby  is  something  you  carry  inside  you  for  nine months, in  your  arms for three  years,  and  in  your heart  till the day  you  die.  (God’s little  devotional  book).

Lo,  children  are  an  heritage  of the  LORD.

Lord,  let  us  pray  for  our  children  daily  and  help  us  to  guide them  in  the right  direction.    Amen.

Thanks  &  God Bless!

This little girl is precious. You may remember I photographed two twin boys back in June named Dillon and Drake, well this is their little sister that is one. Their mom is beautiful and they all have amazing eyes. I look forward to photographing the whole family in October. We thought we were going to be rained out, but we managed to not get too wet. These are a few of my favorites. Hope ya’ll enjoy.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the womens conference on Saturday was awesome and I look forward to next years. The testimonies were awesome and the singing was great too. The presence of the LORD was there and I felt so blessed to be there. I am so glad my friend Debbie went with me and she didn’t know she would get such a blessing too. Always give thanks to the LORD for everything.

Words of Wisdom: When you become a parent remember: Our children’s values will lay the foundation for tomorrow’s world.
(mama’s rules for livin).

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

Dear Jesus, encourage my children to train themselves in godliness and uphold your values. Help me to set an example for my children and to show them how to read the bible and to follow you LORD. Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

‘BIG WOLF’ Friday, Aug 17 2007

My sister has been patiently waiting. Family gets put on the back burner sometimes. I am sorry you had to wait so long, but I got so busy I was just having a hard time keeping up. Wolf is just growing up so fast. He has already out grown my little girl. He has the most beautiful BIG BLUE eyes.  He is always so happy and smiling.  I enjoy photographing him.  I had a hard time deciding on one’s to post. These are a few of my favorites. Hope ya’ll enjoy.  You gotta love the hair!

Up next will be a handsom little boy named Jaden, then a precious little girl named Kensey, then a family of three beautiful kids one who will probably be a model when he gets a little older or maybe sooner, and then it will be two little darling girls that are best friends and some with the little brother. So keep checking it out, I have some more great stuff coming up.

Words of Wisdom: When you become a parent remember , Children are sent through us- not to us.

And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.

Jesus, do not let my actions turn away my children. Through me, teach my children to welcome everyone in your name. Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Jack is back and growing. Monday, Aug 6 2007

I am still trying to catch up on proofing my sessions.  I was so excited to photograph Jack again.  He is so cute and is growing so fast.  I don’t get to see them that often because they live out-of-town, but I enjoy every  minute I get to spend with them.  Jack’s mom said that he is always smiling and happy, and the minute I pulled the camera out, he quit smiling.  I was able to capture a few smiles, so don’t worry Rachael, you will see more in your proof book with smiles.

Rachael is a beautiful and hip mom, so I had to include some with her.  I don’t want to hear it Rachael, you and I will discuss you later.  Here are a few of my favorites.  I hope ya’ll enjoy.

Words of Wisdom:  To understand your parent’s love, you must raise children yourself.

For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God.

I have to stop and think about what I’m saying as well.  I don’t seem to have enough time for my kids and I always feel guilty.  Since I started this photography business full-time, I seem to work more hours and have less time for my kids.  I usually work best late at night when they are in bed, but spend most of my daytime proofing as well.

Try not to underestimate how much influence you have with your children on a daily basis!

Lord, open my eyes to every opportunity to teach my children about you, and help my children to be careful how they live because the days are evil Amen. (Life on earth is just temporary and short lived).

Thanks & God Bless!

A little vintage flair Thursday, Jul 26 2007

This session was somewhat of a challange, and I’m sure the mom would agree. The three month old wasn’t sure she wanted to have her photograph made. She cried and cried. Her mom and grandmother said that she is never upset. I was beginning to think this precious little girl just didn’t like me. We did have a great session even though she cried and it poured down rain on us. We wern’t going to let anything stop us, because this was our third attempt. Even thought this session was mainly for the three month old, I was able to capture some of her sister as well. I hope ya’ll enjoy these. Please don’t take the doll on the road the wrong way. I did not mean for it to look like the actual child, I was just getting a little out there with my creativity.

Words of Wisdom: Imagination is more important than knowledge.

Direct my footsteps according to your word.
PSALMS 119:133

Gracious God, lead my children to know you as their Lord and Savior and to walk in your truth. Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Isabella Wednesday, Jul 11 2007

This precious little girl was a pleasure to photograph. I enjoyed every minute of it. I was a little nervous because her mother is a photographer, but sometimes we just like to see what someone else can capture. I know my kids act better for other people than they do for me sometimes.

I ended up really liking the photographs with the bunny and I hope her mom likes them as much as I do. Marianne, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these moments for you.  I hope ya’ll enjoy!

I almost forgot, we have a Nissan Quest van that is only a little over a year old and in excellant condition.  The van is still under warrenty and we have been trying to sell it.  I can’t believe it hasn’t sold already.  My husband wouldn’t listen to me 4-5 months ago about buying another vehicle before we sold the van, but I believe he has learned his lesson after having to pay three car notes this long.  If anyone is in the market for a new van, give me a call at 318-878-7399, just leave me a message and I can email photographs of the van to you, or just leave me a comment here and I will be back in touch.

Words of Wisdom: If you want to be an original, be yourself (mama’s rules for livin)

Be kind and loving to each other, and forgive each other, just as God forgave you in Christ.

Jesus, help my children to be kind to one another. Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Tyrese “LOVE” Tuesday, Jun 19 2007

When I was called and asked if I had a opening for this past Firday I had already booked all the appointments I was going to book, but this lady was going to be in Monroe for a meeting and really wanted to have her son’s photograph made. I called her back and told her that I would work her in. After much thought, I felt like God was sending me this child for some unknown reason.

Baby Tyrese is a child that was received from the foster care system. He began sharing his love with his family at 2 weeks old. He is the youngest of 6 natural children. His new family consists of an older sister and two older brother (the youngest 17yo). Tyrese entered this world prematurely at 36 weeks gestation weithing 5lb 9oz and 19 1/2 inches long. He is now 7lb 13oz and 19 1/2 inches long.

He has brought much LOVE and joy to his new family and they are looking forward to many more wonderful adventures.

I feel so blessed to have been able to photograph Tyrese. May God be with him and keep him!  He is a beautiful baby boy!

Words of Wisdom: Love is a gift from God
What a man desires is unfailing love.

Thanks & God Bless!

Welcome Sophia Thursday, Jun 14 2007

A big welcome to:8266-01blog.jpg
I had the pleasure yesterday to go back to this home to photograph the family’s new addition “Sophia Lynne”. I feel so blessed to be doing what I love, and to be able to share my love with others. Sophia was precious and I had a great time photographing her. We allowed for her to rest and take some breaks and it was well worth it.
Here are just a few of my favorites. May God Bless you Sophia Lynne!

Words of Wisdom: “When you become a parent remember: To be your children’s memories tomorrow, you have to be in their lives today.” This is a quote from Mamie McCullough and her book Mama’s rules for livin.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you, says the LORD.
PSALM 32:8

Thanks & God Bless!

I just want to add that if you like the lettering wall hanging and the Jesus love me cross (my own), check out Bayou Crafters Mall in West Monroe, and tell them Vanessa sent you.  You can also see some of my work on display there.  I love that place they can tell you.  I am always in there shopping and giving them my money.  Great place to shop for kids!  I get some of my outfits there and I love them.

Go Now!
