Mr. Reggie Thursday, Apr 16 2009

What a blessing it was to capture Reggie and two of his best buds which I also photographed for their senior pics.  I had such a great time photographing Reggie.  He is such a great guy and was up for anything.  He acutally probably thinks I am crazy.  I hope not anyway.  I do have flight-of-ideas.  I just jump from one idea to the next.  Anyway, here are some of my favorites from the session. Hope ya’ll enjoy.  Hope everyone has a blessed week.

Words of Wisdom:  “Do not follow where the path may lead.  Follow God, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.”—Author Unknown

God desires a unique destiny for your life, not a run-of-the-mill destination.  There’s no way to know where He intends to lead you, but there’s only one way to get there: Follow where He leads, and leave the rest to Him.(Your Bridge to a Better Future by John C. Maxwell).

Commit your actions tothe LORD, and your plans will succeed.

Lord Jesus, I praise you and give You all the glory.  Lord direct our paths and lead us where You want us to go.  I pray Lord Jesus that we just all learn to trust You and allow You to guide us.  I know Lord that Your destination is best.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Another Beautiful Senior MS. Alyssa! Monday, Mar 16 2009

Like I said another beautiful senior.  My 2009 seniors have been awesome and I enjoyed them so much.  I look forward to all my 2010 seniors.  Me and Alyssa had so much fun. I photographed Alyssa’s sister about two years ago and she is just beautiful too.   These senior girls know how to have fun and it makes my job easier.  I feel so blessed to be able to capture these memories for all my seniors.  They will all look back one day and wonder where the last twenty years went.  It just amazes me how time flies.  These are a few of my favorites from the session.  Hope ya’ll enjoy.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Words of Wisdom:  “The future is that time when you’ll wish you’d done what you aren’t doing now.”   author unknown

What must you do today to make your dreams become a reality in the future?  Break it down.  What do you need to learn?  What do you need to change?  What small steps must you take today?  Figure that out, then just do it.  Truly live in the present, and you’ll lay a positive foundation for the future. (Your Bridge to a Better Future by John C. Maxwell).

I can do everything through him that gives me strength.

Lord Jesus, I thank you for all the trials in my life as they have brought me closer to You.  I pray that this younger generation will draw near to You and will draw closer to you through their trials.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Beautiful Senior Leah Thursday, Mar 5 2009

0629-02-8x12-blog2I know I keep saying it but these seniors have been great and I am just loving them.  They could be models for sure.  I had a great afternoon with Leah and her mom.  We just really had a great time and I enjoyed my time spent with them.  I will soon wrap it up with my 2009 seniors and have several 2010 seniors that I will be photographing this year.  I look forward to them and it is always a blessing to me to meet them and get to know them all a little better.  I wish they could know now what I do without having to go through the things I had to go through.  That’s just part of life though and we live and learn.  Just keep God in your heart and obey Him and life will be so much better.  Here are a few from our session.  Hope you enjoy and until next time I hope you all have blessed day’s.

Words of Wisdom:  If you’re willing to admit your’re all wrong when you are, your’re all right.  (God’s little devotional book)

Our love for God means that we obey his commands.  And his commands are not too hard for us.

1 John 5:3 TEV

Lord Jesus, help us to keep You in our hearts and to obey Your commands.  Lead us Lord in the direction we should go.  I glorify You Lord, and praise You in everything I do.  Lord use me to witness to others and to lead others to You.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Beautiful, Fun Senior MS. Taylor Monday, Feb 16 2009

What an awesome shoot this was.  I am starting to think that I could photograph senior girls all year long.  They are just so much fun.  You boys are too but the girls just enjoy having their photos taken so much more.  We had so much fun during this session despite having to take rain breaks and trying to protect my camera from the rain.  I just really enjoyed every minute of it.  Taylor is so beautiful inside and out.  She was just a blessing to photograph and so photogentic.  Here are a few from the session.  I could have kept posting but have to save some of my other favorits for a surprise.  Hope ya’ll enjoy and as always give thanks to the Lord.  He is just so Awesome and worthy of all our praise.

Words of Wisdom:  “To bury our dreams is to bury ourselves, for we are really ‘such stuff as dreams are made on.’ God’s dream for us is to reach our potential.”——Author Unknown

All you do in life depends on you—on what you think you can do.  The size of your dreams determines the scope of your accomplishment.  Your potential has no limits.  You are capable of climbing a thousand Mount Everests.  (You dream to a better future by John C. Maxwell).

Always let God be at the top and He will see that all your dreams come true.  Thanks & God Bless! Vanessa

Lord Jesus, I adore you and glorify Your Name.  Help us to always put You first in our lives and to always know You are the purpose for living and following our dreams and if our dreams are not what You have planned, lead us to follow Your plan for our lives.  Amen.

Miss “C” another beautiful senior! Saturday, Jan 17 2009

WOW!  Another beautiful senior from my November sessions.  It just amazes me how beautiful all these seniors are.  I always have such a great time photographing my seniors and can’t wait to start photographing them again next month.  I am so looking forward to it.  It always is like a fashion shoot with the girls and I love that.  These are a few from the session and I truly hope ya’ll enjoy.

I will be hosting a “Matilda Jane Trunk show March 13th (Friday evening from 5:30-8:30)  Hope you can make it.  I can’t wait to see the spring line!  Check out the site at

I am also going to be planning a “Faith/Fresh Face Contest”  I am excited.  Stay tooned for this because I will have different age catagories and there will be only one winner from each category.  I may do girls & boys I haven’t decided yet.  It will consist of me styling the session and you will recieve something from the session.  I will be working on the details soon and will post them here.  I will not be the judge.  The winners will appear on new marketing materials.  This will strickly be for walking ages up and possibly a senior as well.  Can’t wait to work out all the details.  So start thinking about what photo you will be sending in.  I am not sure what month I will do the sessions or anything like that yet.

Words of Wisdom:  Use whatever abilities you have to get started on the path to success.  Just do your best with what you have.  Do not worry abut what you do not have…Concentrate on the tools you are blessed with today.  Many will only work under ideal conditions…but those willing to attack the situation with what they have are destined to somehow, someday acquire better tools.  You have now or will receive in due time sufficient abilities to do any job.

Use the tools you have!  (All this from Rules For Success by Mamie McCullough)

The Lord is the strength of my life.

Lord Jesus, help us to know that You are our strength and without You all we have is weakness.  I praise You Lord for everything in my life and am so grateful for everything You do in my life.  Without You I am nothing.  Amen.

Miss “T” a beautiful Senior Tuesday, Jan 13 2009

This is another senior I photographed in November that was saved for Jan. for proofing.  I had so much fun with this young lady and her mom.  I tell you what she is a beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.  This whole family is just beautiful and I can’t wait to photograph all three sisters together.  I am so thankful that I was able to experience such a special time in Miss “T’s” life and I know she has a bright future ahead of her.  Here are a few from her session and I hope ya’ll enjoy!

Words of Wisdom:  You can have anything…. but not everything you want

Formula for failure…..try to please everybody.

—-Herbert Swope

I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.

Lord Jesus, help us to understand that we cannot please everyone but that we should always try to please You because that is what is important.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Handsome Senior and his sister! Wednesday, Jan 7 2009

I have to say that I love photographing seniors.  My favorites are children, seniors, families, and bridals/couples.  I don’t think I could handle a wedding.  I did phtograph two weddings in my past, but that was long before I turned professional.  Actually that was more than ten years ago.  I had an interest in photography then and just did the weddings and some other things for a hobby more or less.  Everyone always ask me how I started in photography and it started as a hobby.  I studied a course back in 2000 through the New York Institute of Photography and at that time I was shooting film.  When digital came along I just started doing it more and more.  God led me in this direction so I decided to fully trust Him and just follow Him and only He knows what is ahead.

I had the pleasure to photograph this handsome senior and was able to capture some of him and his sister together.  I told his mom that after this it will be harder to get the two together for photograpahs.  I had a great time hanging out with them.  I have to say that it is always more difficult to photograph older guys because you know that they would rather be doing anything else but taking photos.

Well here are a few from the session.  Hope ya’ll enjoy!

Words of Wisdom:  “Everybody ought to do at least two things each day that he hates to do, just for the practice. —-William James

No matter how successful you become in life, keep your feet firmly on the ground.  How do you do that?  Continue doing the things you don’t like but ought to do.  It will help you maintain your perspective, develop character, and keep growing. (Your bride to a better future by John C. Maxwell).

Our only goal is to please God.

Lord Jesus, help us to not let our goals overtake our lives.  Help us to set our goals that will work for you.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Mr. Lee B. Senior 2009 Tuesday, Nov 18 2008

This senior was such a pleasure to photograph and his mom is such a joy to be around.  I was excited that they were so open minded and open to anything.  It almost sadens me when I photograph seniors because I think of my own children growing up and moving off and I just don’t want them to grow up.  I know the time comes sooner than we all think and we need to cherish every moment we can.  I hope I captured some great memories for this senior and his family.  My wishes go out to you Lee and may God lead you in the direction and may you follow Him.  Thanks for allowing me to capture these moments.

Words of Wisdom:  “The thing is to understand myself, to see what God really wishes me to do….to find the idea for which I can live and die.”—-Sorne Kierkegaard

There are at most a handful of things worth dying for.  Find out what yours are, and you will really be able to live.  (You bridge to a better future by John C. Maxwell).

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.  Impress them on your children.

Lord, lead this young man in the direction he should go.  Lord just bless him and let all his accomplichments be to glorify You. Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Beautiful Senior from “Big D” Friday, Oct 10 2008

This beautiful senior was from Dallas.  Her grandmother is from West Monroe and had scheduled an appointment for her.  We were rained out once but thankfully I was able to capture these memories for her.  I really enjoyed getting to know MS. S. and her family.  She was great to photograph.  Here are a few from her session.  Hope ya’ll enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Words of Wisdom:  “To make your life small when it could be great is sin and heresy.”

—-Elton Trueblood

Think in terms of your highest potential.  We are told in Scripture to seek the greater gifts, not the lesser ones.  Desire excellence.  Grow.  Aim for the top in everything you do.  Don’t miss the opportunity to become the best person you can be.  (Your Bridge to a Better Future by John C. Maxwell

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Lord, help us to reach for excellence especially when it comes to You.  Lord help us to put You first always.  Amen.

 Thanks & God Bless!

Beautiful Senior Monday, Apr 21 2008

Sorry for the delay in posting but I am starting to get behind and it may take me more days between posting.  This young lady contacted me months ago about doing her senior pictures.  She is from Pensylvania and was in for a wedding and scheduled to have her pictures taken while she was in Monroe.  It was such a blessing to get to photograph her.  She is a beautiful girl inside and out.  We had a great time and I will remember our day together.  I feel so blessed to meet the people I meet and have them touch my life and I just always pray that I can touch someone’s life.  I always ask God to shin through me.  Thanks again for stopping by and I truly hope you enjoy.  Here are a few favorites.

Words of Wisdom: ” Learn as if you were to live forever.  Live as if your were to die tomorrow.” (Your bridge to a better future).

You should always plan for tomorrow but live for today.  Stop and appreciate the little things in life and enjoy the simple pleasures.  When life isn’t going the way I like it I always tell myself that this is all just temporary anyway.  Things are not always gonna go the way I want, but I know He has a plan for my life and I just have to live each day as if there may be no tomorrow.  I have to remind myself of the longterm (eternal life) and remind myself to just try not to worry about the little things and enjoy and savor the moments I do have.

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

PSALM 18:2

LORD, help us to see today how we can be useful.  Give us all strength to walk into each opportunity You set before us. Help us all to live each day as if there is no tomorrow.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!
