One cold afternoon! Thursday, Apr 9 2009

So here is the family and kidos.  We had a great afternoon with the exception of freezing to death.  The wind was so cold this day.  I enjoyed spending time and getting to know this family.  Family is so important and we should always take time to just have family time.  I hope you make time for your family too.  Here are a few from the session.  Hope ya’ll ejnoy.

Words of Wisdom:  A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel. (God’s little devotional book for parents).

We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers.

Lord Jesus, we thank you for our children and I pray for all the little children of the world.  May I lift up prayers of praise and lift up their souls to you Lord.  May you bless them and keep them safe and help us to guide our children to know their Lord Jesus. Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Handsome Senior and his sister! Wednesday, Jan 7 2009

I have to say that I love photographing seniors.  My favorites are children, seniors, families, and bridals/couples.  I don’t think I could handle a wedding.  I did phtograph two weddings in my past, but that was long before I turned professional.  Actually that was more than ten years ago.  I had an interest in photography then and just did the weddings and some other things for a hobby more or less.  Everyone always ask me how I started in photography and it started as a hobby.  I studied a course back in 2000 through the New York Institute of Photography and at that time I was shooting film.  When digital came along I just started doing it more and more.  God led me in this direction so I decided to fully trust Him and just follow Him and only He knows what is ahead.

I had the pleasure to photograph this handsome senior and was able to capture some of him and his sister together.  I told his mom that after this it will be harder to get the two together for photograpahs.  I had a great time hanging out with them.  I have to say that it is always more difficult to photograph older guys because you know that they would rather be doing anything else but taking photos.

Well here are a few from the session.  Hope ya’ll enjoy!

Words of Wisdom:  “Everybody ought to do at least two things each day that he hates to do, just for the practice. —-William James

No matter how successful you become in life, keep your feet firmly on the ground.  How do you do that?  Continue doing the things you don’t like but ought to do.  It will help you maintain your perspective, develop character, and keep growing. (Your bride to a better future by John C. Maxwell).

Our only goal is to please God.

Lord Jesus, help us to not let our goals overtake our lives.  Help us to set our goals that will work for you.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Are you ready to bowl? Tuesday, Jan 6 2009

Hi everyone and hope ya’ll had a blessed Christmas and New Year!  I have so many things that I want to post but just not enough time to do it all.  My daughter turned three on the second and I have some cute photos of her to share.  I just can’t believe how fast they grow up.  How do you like this weather?  I am ready for spring I tell you.  I am tired of this rain and cold already.  I know several of you are waiting to hear from me and I will be working on policies/pricing later this month and will get that sent out to you towards the end of the month.  I am reserving most of Feb. and the first week of March for my seniors that were not able to get in in Nov.  I look forward to all my sessions this year and for God just to use me for His glory.

Well this family is always fun to photograph and they own Bayou Bowl in Monroe so if you have time go by and bowl.  What better thing to do on these rainy days!  They also own Tummy Yummy which is one of my favorite places in downtown West Monroe.  Check them out at  The stuff there is awesome.  Well, here are a few of my favorites and I hope ya’ll enjoy.  May God bless you all this 2009!!!!

Words of Wisdom:  “The secret of success is consistency of purpose.”  –Benjamin Disraeli

Once you discover your purpose in life, focus your attention there.  Change from generalist to specialist.  You cannot be a perrson of destiny and a jack-of-all-trades at the same time. (Your Bridge to a better future by John C. Maxwell)

This is hard to do because I have always been a person who love to do many things.  I just look at them all as gifts from God and if He gives me a gift I am going to use it to glorify Him.

I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.

Lord Jesus, help us to embrace Your blessings and to always use our blessing to glorify You.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Lovely family! Sunday, Dec 28 2008

What a beautiful family this is.  I had the pleasure of photographing the kids a second time but this was my first time to capture the family.  The whole family is just beautiful and it was such a blessing to photograph them.  I get so excited about the people God sends my way and the friendships I buid through meeting everyone.   These are some of my favorites from the session.  I hope ya’ll enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Words of Wisdom:  Trust God with the deepest dreams of your heart and devote yourself to Him.  Be happy in God, for it is the best thing you can do for yourself and your children.  (The 100 most important bible verses for mothers).

Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Thanks & God Bless!

If you get time go see “bedtime stories” with Adam Sandler.  We went tonight with the kids and it is a great movie.

I’m still here! I am wore out so I am posting two in one here! Monday, Dec 22 2008

It seems like forever since I was here.  I forgot just how busy everything starts to get just before Christmas.  Between school parties, shopping, a funeral (very sad), church, bible study, an awesome prayer meeting last week and then just all the other stuff I have neglected my blog.  I am sorry to those who have been waiting to see their images here.  You are most likely so busy too that you haven’t even thought about it.  I am still not believing Christmas is Thursday.  I haven’t wrapped the first gift and most likely will not have time until Tue. night to do that.  Oh well, I will get it done.  Thanks to all of you who have nominated someone and I will accept nominee’s until Tue.  The decision will be hard for us to make, but everyone so far is well deserving.

Well these sessions were awesome.  I just love my job and thank God for using me.  I enjoyed photographing these siblings.  The youngest one didn’t care too much about having her photo taken, but I managed to get a few of her.  I just enjoyed getting to spend time with them and they just made me laugh.  Here are a few from the session and I hope ya’ll enjoy.

Please remember Christ this Christmas because He is the meaning of Christmas.  Now go make cookies, watch a movie (a Christmas Story) and read a book about the true meaning of Christmas to your children.  I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.  I will be back to post the winner Christmas Eve.

Words of Wisdom:Practice thankfulness in every area of your life, and you will find concerns melt away.  (The 100 most important bible verses for mothers book).

Don’t worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks.  And God’s peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Lord Jesus, help us to all give thanks to You.  Help us to teach our children thankfulness in every area of their lives.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Now I know you recognize this cutie.  I have photographed him about three times now.  I tell you what I am just watching him grow up too fast.  He is just too cute and I tell you what, he is just turning into a little model in front of the camera.  I did a lot of his in a more urban look since that is what I was going for in most of his photos.  I surely enjoyed getting to capture these of “Mr. D” again.  He is always a pleasure to photograph.

Great Families/generations of love. Monday, Dec 8 2008

Hello again, I tried to do this post when I did my last one but  it was taking so long to upload that I decided I would just come back and post.   It was another blessing to photograph these families.  I am so thankful for all these people God sends my way.  These families are beautiful inside and out.  They have a love for Jesus Christ.   I have to say if you didn’t get to come to the “Awakening Service”  this past Saturday night you missed out on a blessing from God.  Casey Johnson delivered an awesome message from God and helped us all to realize that we all need to wake up and do God’s work.

In a nut shell, we can’t believe we are saved by just going to church.  We cannot just stop at repentance.  So many proclaim to be Christians thses days but do not stand up for what they believe in.  Society tends to make up its own rules about what’s wrong and right.  The Bible tells us what sin is and it is up to us to read the bible and spread the “Truth”.  We cannot just confess to God what we have done wrong.  We have to repent and turn away from our sin.  And don’t stop at repentance.  Don’t sit back and be deceived by the world it is up to you to do something about it.  So many people ask “why would God let that happen?”    Sometimes we let our children do things that we would rather them not or we just step back sometimes and allow them to make mistakes so that they can learn.  Sometimes parents get enough and have to stop enabling their children to do something (whether its drugs, stealing, etc) but we still love our children no matter what.  God loves us too, but we have to make the decison to live for Him.  Our salvation is up to us.  He gives us the plan of salvation and we have the choice to choose Him or not to choose Him.  Please don’t let time pass you by and choose not to accept Him.  Look at Matthew 24:12  Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Don’t get cold!

I got this from God when reading my bible:  The Seven Woes:

1.  Not letting others enter the kingdom of heaven and not entering yourselves.

2.  Converting people away from God to be like yourselves

3.  Blindly leading God’s people to follow man-made traditions instead of God’s Word

4.  Involving yourself in every last detail and ignoring what is really important: justice, mercy, and faith

5.  Keeping up appearances while your private world is corrupt

6.  Acting spiritual to cover up sin

7.  Pretending to have learned from past history, but your present behavior shows you have learned nothing.

Jesus mentioned seven ways to guarantee God’s anger, often called the “seven woes”.  These seven statements about the religious leaders must have been spoken with a mixed tone of judgment and sorrow.  They were strong and unforgettable.  They are still applicable any time we become so involved in perfecting the practice of religion that we forget that God is also concerned with mercy, real love, and forgiveness. (Application Study Bible NIV)

Lord Jesus, help us all to not get cold and to spread the truth.  Help us all to lead others to you and to be Christ like in doing so.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Happy Birthday to myself and my husband today.  We thank God for each other.  I love you Sean!

Fun family time! Sunday, Dec 7 2008

What a beautiful family.  And you all know I love red heads.  This whole family was photengentic.  I enjoyed getting to know them and spending the afternoon with them.  Thank you so much for allowing me to capture these memories of your family. I am so thankful everyday for the people God places in my life.  Here are a few from the session and hope ya’ll enjoy!

Words of Wisdom:  Think of the sacrifice your mother had to make in order that you might live.  Think of the sacrifice God had to make that you and your mother might live.(God’s Little Insturction Book for Mom).

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

1 JOHN 4:10 NIV

Lord, help us all to understand the love You have for us and help us to love others.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

*Double click horizontal photos to view larger*

This family is just precious and everyone has been very patient waiting on me to get caught up.  Even though I took December off from taking photos, I will be proofing the whole month of Dec./placing orders/ and checking orders in.  I am praying that I will be caught up by the week of Christmas though.  I am going to spend some great quality time with my family.  I have been making myself do that every weekend lately.

I had a great time photographing this family and this little country boy is just too cute.  I hope ya’ll enjoy these from the session.

Remember the “Awakening” service Sat. night at 7pm.  Please check out my announcments (to the left column of the blog) for the details.  Come see what amazing things God can do for you.

Words of Wisdom:  God sends children for another purpose than merely to keep up the race–to enlarge our hearts, to make us unselfish, and full of kindly sympathies and affections.(God’s Little insturction book for mom).

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

1 JOHN 3:18

Lord, help us all to enlarge our hearts, make ourselves unselfish, and fill us of kind sympathies and affections.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Little Miss Rock Star! Monday, Dec 1 2008

This precious little rock star is sure growing up fast.  I am not believing how much she has grown since I photographed her last.  Her dad is in the Christian band “One Way” and I have always thought alot of her mom and dad.  Good people I tell ya!!!  Well you will see little Ms. “E” with her dad’s drumb sticks and with all her precious outfits.  I thought my daughter had a lot of clothes until this one showed up with a ton of clothes.  I loved having free will to go through them and help put together outfits.  Here are a few and I hope ya’ll enjoy.

I sure hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving.  Please remenber to check out my announcments section to remind yourself of the “Awakening”  Service this Saturday night at 7pm.  Come let God bless you.

Words of Wisdom:  A problem not worth praying about isn’t worth worrying about. (God’s little instruction book for mom).

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Lord, help us all to understand to bring our problems and worries to You.  Help us to know that we need to give up trying to control these things and just give them over to You.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!

Beautiful brother and sister and mom too! Monday, Nov 24 2008

These two are just beautiful and have amazing eyes.  I had so much fun with them and mom.  I was able to capture what they both love.  B. love to hunt and P. loves to paint and wants to be an artist one day.  I believe she is well on her way.  I loved watching the sibling interaction between the two of them and they kept me laughing.  I promised mom I would post so I actually fell asleep at a decent time tonight and got up to post.  I didn’t want to break my promise to mom.  Mom is just beautiful too and what a blessing it was to photograph this family.  Here are a few from the session and I hope ya’ll enjoy.  This will be my last post until after Thanksgiving so I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving and please give thanks to the Lord.

Words of Wisdom:  “God never puts anyone in a place too small to grow.”  Author unknown

It’s human nature to think that the person you admire sitting next to you has it better than you do.  But God doesn’t see it that way.  Everyone is different.  To some people He gives five talents, to some two, and to others one.  How many you received doesn’t matter.  The question is, “What are you going to do with what you’ve got?”  (Your Bridge to a better future by John C. Maxwell).

This is so true, we always tend to think that someone has it better than we do.  We should just thank God for what we have and what He has blessed us with.  I am so thankful for what God has given me and I give all my thanks to Him.  Everything I have and do is His and for Him.  I am nothing without Him.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!  For His mercy endures forever.

PSALM 107:1

Lord, let us give You thanks for everything.  Lord bless all the children and help us to teach our children to always give You thanks.  Lord help us to teach our children to accept whatever talents You bless them with and to use their talents to glorify You.  Amen.

Thanks & God Bless!
